Boardroom Briefing
The election is coming up. Here is our cheat sheet of what each party is promising:
AMP Chief Economist Shane Oliver suggests that the RBA may shift focus towards supporting economic growth amidst international challenges. With the cash rate currently at 4.10%, a further 25 basis point reduction in May is anticipated, especially if upcoming inflation data aligns with forecasts. This move aims to alleviate mortgage stress and stimulate the economy. - (via news.com.au)
Pope Francis passed away last week. He was regarded as more liberal with a focus on social justice, environmental concerns, and an inclusive approach to issues like LGBTQ+ rights and the role of women in the Church. A conclave (yes, like the movie) is currently underway to elect a new pope. Many observers believe there could be a shift back towards more conservative leadership after his passing. - (via The Independent)
The International Monetary Fund has downgraded Australia's GDP growth forecast for 2025 from 2.1% to 1.6%, attributing the change to increasing global trade tensions, especially due to U.S. tariffs. This is expected to cause a $13 billion loss in Australian economic output. - (via news.com.au)
Japan's largest investment bank, Nomura, will acquire Macquarie Group's U.S. and European public asset management units for $1.8 billion. This strategic move aims to expand Nomura's assets under management to $770 billion and enhance its fee-based revenue streams. - (via Reuters)

At Canva Create 2025, the company launched new tools designed to make it faster and easier for the professional woman to get her work done — and make it aesthetically pleasing. Bondi Wash: The woman making cleaning chic
Belinda Everingham’s fresh take on everyday essentials
After a health scare triggered by synthetic chemicals in her home, Belinda Everingham began to question the products we use every day. She couldn't find anything that was both safe and stylish, so she decided to create it. In 2013, from a sun-soaked home in Bondi, Bondi Wash was born: a brand inspired by Australia’s unique botanicals, dedicated to making natural, luxurious, design-led products for every part of your life.
"Bondi Wash started with a simple idea: harness the power of Australian plants to clean naturally and beautifully." — Belinda Everingham
Belinda’s vision: native, natural, and necessary
Rather than mimic the mass-market approach to cleaning, Belinda saw an opportunity to do things differently. She spent over two years researching Australian plants and their antibacterial properties — working closely with chemists and perfumers to create formulas that were not only effective but a pleasure to use. Her philosophy was clear: natural doesn’t have to mean boring. Every Bondi Wash product is a celebration of nature’s power, packaged elegantly and designed to fit beautifully into modern homes.
Belinda didn’t just launch a product line — she reimagined a category.
At a time when "eco" often meant compromising on performance or aesthetics, Belinda set a new standard. Bondi Wash products are independently lab-tested to outperform chemical alternatives, while their signature scents like Tasmanian pepper and lavender or Sydney peppermint and rosemary turn ordinary cleaning into sensory rituals.
Beyond cleaning: building a conscious lifestyle brand
Under Belinda’s leadership, Bondi Wash has expanded thoughtfully into baby care, pet care, personal care, and even natural insect repellents. But the approach remains the same: science-backed, nature-powered, and always design-conscious. Each new product feels like an extension of Belinda’s original vision, to make daily life gentler, safer, and more beautiful.
Bondi Wash’s brand DNA mirrors Belinda herself: calm, grounded, and quietly powerful.
The brand’s minimalist packaging, commitment to transparency, and focus on local, sustainable ingredients all reflect Belinda’s own values. She isn't chasing trend, she’s creating a slower, more mindful way of living.
Growing globally, staying true
Bondi Wash now has a loyal following across Australia, Japan, the U.S., and Europe. But even as the brand scales, Belinda remains committed to keeping production local and quality uncompromised. It’s about more than products, it’s about preserving a way of life that feels connected to nature, community, and wellbeing.
She markets to women who curate their lives with care
The Bondi Wash woman values thoughtfulness in everything from what she eats to what she sprays on her countertops. She’s discerning, eco-conscious, and stylish without trying too hard. She doesn’t just want clean surfaces; she wants a cleaner way of living.
🧼 Personal testimony: Adrianna loves gifting Bondi Wash products to friends and family because who wouldn’t want a little luxury in their cleaning routine? Whether it’s a beautifully-scented hand wash or a calming body spray, it’s the kind of gift that feels thoughtful, elevated, and just a little bit indulgent. (Not sponsored.)
